No dots, dashes, or weird characters. Clean invisible spacing that just works on every platform.
Invisible Braille Spacer
We use the Unicode Braille Pattern Blank — a character that renders as nothing but counts as content to every platform's parser. Same canonical trick that makes Instagram caption spacing work.
Live Preview
See your formatted output in real time as you type. No guessing how the spacing will render before you paste into your post composer.
Works on Every Major Platform
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky. Posts, comments, bios, descriptions — anywhere multi-line text renders.
Hashtag Separator
One-click toggle to push your hashtags below the post body with proper spacing. Cleaner above-the-fold caption, same algorithmic effect.
Instant, No Signup
No account, no email, no rate limit. Browser-only — nothing leaves your device. Free forever.
No Spam Penalty
The Braille char is a standard Unicode character used legitimately for Braille writing. Platforms don’t classify it as spam — no ranking penalty for using it.
How to add line breaks to social media posts
No sign-up required. Three steps from collapsed wall-of-text to properly-spaced post.
Paste your multi-line caption
Type or paste your social post draft into the input box. Include the blank lines exactly where you want the spacing in the published post.
Get the formatted output
We replace each empty line with an invisible Braille Pattern Blank character. The line still looks blank — but the platform parser sees it as content and preserves it.
Copy and paste into your post
Click Copy and paste into your platform's post composer. Your blank lines survive the post, exactly as you formatted them. Optional: split hashtags below the body with one toggle.

Who needs a line break generator?
Anyone who writes social posts longer than two sentences. Which, in 2026, is most of us.
LinkedIn thought-leadership posts
Multi-paragraph posts read 2-3× better with proper paragraph spacing than as a wall of text. The blank lines give the reader a breath. Even better: open /linkedin-text-formatter for the combined bold + bullet + line-break tool.
Instagram captions over 300 chars
Long captions need paragraph breaks to be readable on a phone. Without them, the caption looks like a wall — most users tap "more" once and bounce. Our existing /instagram-caption-spacer is the dedicated IG version.
Marketing announcement posts
Hook line, blank space, body, blank space, CTA, blank space, hashtags. The structure makes the post scannable + the CTA stands out as its own visual block.
Educational threads + listicles
Numbered lists in social posts look terrible without spacing. Add a blank line between each step so the structure is visible at a glance.
Brand bios + about sections
Multi-line bios with proper spacing read way better than the same content on one squished line. Particularly important on TikTok (80-char bio) and Threads.
Anyone writing structured content
YouTube descriptions, Community posts, group descriptions, marketplace listings — anywhere you need to chunk text into scannable sections instead of a wall.
Why do social platforms strip my line breaks?
Almost every social platform’s post composer collapses sequential blank lines on submission. They treat \n\n\n as redundant whitespace and tighten it to a single newline. Your perfectly-formatted draft becomes a wall once it’s published.
Why? Two reasons. First, anti-spam: posts with dozens of blank lines used to be a common ploy to push hashtags off-screen for fake-organic distribution. Stripping the whitespace was the simple fix. Second, mobile rendering: on small screens, even one blank line eats real estate, so platforms minimised it.
The workaround: a line containing the Unicode Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800, ⠀) renders as nothing visible but counts as content to the parser. The line is preserved. We’ve been using this trick on /instagram-caption-spacer since 2024 — it’s the canonical solution and works on every modern platform.
Practical implication: the Braille char counts as 1 character against your post limit (important on X’s 280-char cap). Budget for 4–6 spacer characters in a multi-paragraph post.
