Prerequisites

To connect Pinterest, you need:

  • A Pinterest Business account (free to create)
  • At least one board to pin to

Why Business Account?

Pinterest's API only works with Business accounts. You can easily convert your personal account to a Business account for free in Pinterest settings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Settings in your SocialCal dashboard
  2. Click on the Social Accounts tab
  3. Find Pinterest and click Connect
  4. Log in to Pinterest if prompted
  5. Grant the requested permissions
  6. Select which boards you want to use
  7. Click Done to complete

Creating Pins

When creating a post for Pinterest:

  • Image required: Pinterest is a visual platform
  • Select a board: Choose which board to pin to
  • Add description: Use keywords for discoverability
  • Add link: Drive traffic to your website

Pin Requirements

  • Image formats: JPG, PNG
  • Recommended size: 1000 x 1500 pixels (2:3 ratio)
  • Max file size: 20MB
