How to Connect Threads

Prerequisites

To connect Threads, you need:

• A Threads account (created via Instagram)
• An Instagram account linked to Threads

How Threads Connection Works

Threads uses Meta authentication. When you connect Threads, you'll authorize through the Meta/Threads login.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Settings in your SocialCal dashboard
2. Click on the Social Accounts tab
3. Find Threads and click Connect
4. You'll be redirected to authorize via Meta
5. Grant the requested permissions
6. Click Done to complete

Content on Threads

• Text posts: Up to 500 characters per post
• Images: Supported (carousel up to 20)
• Videos: Up to 5 minutes
• Links: Supported (will show preview)

Posting threads on Threads

Switch the composer to Thread mode to publish a connected reply chain. Each post can carry its own carousel, and SocialCal's Split from long text dialog will break a long draft into properly-sized posts on sentence boundaries. Search the help center for "Post threads" for the full guide.

Troubleshooting

"Threads account not found"

• Make sure you have a Threads account created
• Your Threads account must be linked to your Instagram
