That makes the moment your audience is actively scrolling the highest-leverage decision you can make as a creator. Reels add a second factor: watch-time per view. Posting when your followers can actually watch a 15–30 second loop in full (rather than thumb-flicking past) is more important than chasing a vague 'trending hour'. Stories ride a different signal entirely — the priority bar rewards posts in the last few hours, so spreading 2–3 Stories across morning, lunch, and evening typically outperforms a single burst. Note that Instagram's December 2025 5-hashtag cap means timing matters more than discovery tricks now: hashtag-bombing a 4 AM post no longer compensates for posting when no one is awake.
