Recurring Posts: Republish on a Schedule
Set a post to republish automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence — with rotating variations so each repeat is fresh.
What are recurring posts?
Recurring posts let you set a post to republish automatically on a schedule — daily, weekly, or monthly — instead of rescheduling it by hand each time. Great for evergreen tips, standing promotions, and reminders.
Plan: Recurring posts are available on the Professional and Enterprise plans.
Create a recurring post
- Click Create New Post and write your post as usual — caption, media, and platforms.
- When you set the date and time, turn on the Repeat this post toggle.
- Choose your cadence and options (below), then click Create recurring series.
The first occurrence is scheduled right away, and new occurrences appear in your Scheduled posts as they come due.
Choosing a cadence
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Daily | Posts every day (or every N days) at the chosen time |
| Weekly | Posts on the weekday(s) you pick — the weekday follows the date you selected |
| Monthly | Posts on a chosen day of the month |
| Ends | Run forever, end after a number of posts, or stop on a date |
Keep each repeat fresh (variations)
Republishing identical text gets blocked on X and can be spam-flagged on Meta platforms. To avoid this, add variations with spintax — wrap alternatives in braces. For example:
{Good morning|Hey there|Hello} — here's your weekly tip!SocialCal rotates through the options, using a different one for each occurrence. The composer shows a live count of how many variations you've created.
Manage a recurring series
Open Posts → Recurring to see and manage your series. From there you can:
- Pause / Resume — halt the series and pick up later at the right next occurrence
- Skip next — skip just the next scheduled occurrence
- Edit schedule — change the time or cadence (applies to all future posts)
- Edit copy & media — open the post in the composer to change content or platforms
- Rename — give the series a friendly label (click the title)
The series view also shows the next dates, which variation each will use, and an Activity log of what has already published.
Where do occurrences appear?
Each occurrence becomes a normal scheduled post and publishes through the same pipeline as everything else, so media, first comments, and threads all work as expected. You'll see them on the Scheduled page (marked with a recurring badge) and on the Calendar.
Don't see the Repeat option?
The Repeat toggle and the Recurring page require the Professional plan or higher. Upgrade from Settings → Billing to unlock recurring posts.
